Sense of a Cook

Notes for Readers

I let my kitchen get messy
I let my palms get rough
I let my finger hurt

Just to see the smile
The smile when you taste my food
Makes me a good cook

Hoping the smell of my food
Relaxing your mind
Hoping the performance of my food
Refreshing your eyes
Hoping the taste of my food
Making you forget your problems for a while
Hoping you want more and more my food
This is the sense of a cook

Note :: Food can make people happy, food can make people angry, food can make people alive, food can make people die..

Culture

Note for Readers...

Do you think culture is interesting???

In your oppinion, can culture make people become rich or poor???

I am an Indonesian and I am proud of being an Indonesian. Every culture has its own language, song, culture and cultural ceremony.Culture is the identity as a cultural country. It is a legacy from the forefather which we have to keep it from generation to generation. It remind us that our forefathers were the creative persons in their time.

As a good citizen in a cultural country, we have to hold our culture or in other words "Don't lose your culture!!"Languages, songs, costumes are things that we should keep well for our next generation. They are precious. But how is cultural ceremony. Cultural ceremony is held from time to time to celebrate or remind something, such as wedding ceremony, celebrate a new baby born, or death ceremony.Very often this ceremony spend much money. Even if they don't have enough money to hold one of these cultural ceremony, they will borrow it from others who have money. They are ashamed if they can not hold a cultural ceremony.

For example : In a certain culture in Indonesia. If there is a man who is going to get married, he must buy the woman for millions ruphias. Then his family must fund the wedding party including the cultural ceremony. They may spend about 40 millions ruphias. If they don't have the money, they will borrow it first. If they don't do as the rules in the culture, others will think that they break the rules in the culture. Other example : some people rebuild the gravestone of their grandparents or great grandparents into luxurious gravestone. It needs much money. No wonder if the house of the dead people is better than the house of alive people. They do the ceremony to build the gravestone.

I know it is bad if we lose our culture and i don't want to lose my culture but i don't agree with some cultural ceremony which spend much money. Are you proud if you are in debt just because obey the culture???Are you proud if your house looks terrible but your parents grave looks luxourious???
